um, "avail on hand" is the column that counts. i dont know how old these screen shots are, but it's meaningless to us if the phones are "on order". i guess we can "assume" those on order are coming to the store--exactly when?

Keep in mind, there are 1,067 BBM locations, 800 carry Sprint devices. Only 300 BBM locations will be selling the Pre on the 6th.

I called my local Sprint store today and the person I spoke with offered to HOLD me a PRE for 8am on the 6th! I took it! He took my name and phone number, he also gave me his name so I can call and cross reference if I had any questions. Only catch I have to be there between 8am and 9am! i don't think I have to worry anymore!

I am kinda pissed I hope this is only a partil list because I don't see any PA stores on here! WTF!

@theodoricofyork just tried that.. Failed.. and she wouldnt tell me how much they have in stock all she said was "Its extremely limited" and "First Come First serve"... fuck i really dont want to camp out for a phone but i might.. Im in NYC by the way.

from Sprint since being a S|P customer(member since 1999) I'll be gladly waiting at an Best Buy.

Isn't this the unlocked price? I thought the Pre (before rebates) was in the 500-600 range. I know BB has this price on their site but it just doesn't seem right to me.

Just called a sprint store here in NYC, the girl told me that sprint will be sending out emails to ppl b4 Friday if you signed up to know when the pre will be available for purchase on friday.. Sounds like bull shit to me but thats what she said..

Can someone post an actual link to the thread that contains all the info? I tried searching the forums, but didn't find anything that looked like the right one....

Relax everyone. I don't see any stores in Minnesota either but I know for a fact that the Best Buy closest to my work will have one. I stopped by today and I actually talked to one of the guys in the cell phone dept. He actually let me see the Pre. It wasn't turned on or anything but it's a NICE phone. I read a review a few days ago about a problem with the top row on the keyboard, honestly, disregard it. You need to have giant fingers in order to have that problem. It's a sweet phone. I also called another close Best Buy location just in case and he also told me they're getting it but not getting too many. I would just call your closest Best Buy. :D

I've been searching for info on follow-up shipments. For instance, I am probably not going to camp out. When can I expect to get a palm pre? I've heard they will not have great inventories until August? Are they going to have a nice flow of units to these best buy locations by July... etc...? Any info would be much appreciated.

Found a glimer of hope for us old folks not looking forward to camping out.

Boy I really hope that's true cytopathic, that would certainly be good news for those of us who are willing to pass on Best Buy's tempting "Instant Rebate" offer and tough out the MIR offer from Sprint stores... I wasn't planning on camping out and just showing up a lil' early to see what the lines are like but not maybe I won't need to? Here's to hope that by Monday's daybreak I'm holding a Pre in my hands!
