Informative Pixi First Time Users Solutions/Appcatalog downloads

Pixi First Time Users Solutions/Appcatalog downloads

A Few New Pixi users found problems with the access to the appcatalog and for download apps, the solutions are:

1.-Don´t ever use a homebrew app when you just going to start with Pixi.

2.-Update webos doctor to 1.3.5 here

https://ws.palm.com/SupportDownload/...nal/Home&sp=50

3.-Update to webos 1.3.5 (your pixi comes with 1.3.1)

4.-Run webos doctor 1.3.5

doctoring the phone does fix the app downloads, for some reason when you update the pixi to 1.3.5 over the air it disables the ability to download apps from the sprint catalog so what i did was used webos doctor and wala it works now................so its confirmed......also if you try to open the doctor and it doesnt work after u download it and it wont let you press next just leave the doctor open and turn the phone to dev mode typing in webos20090606 and turn on dev then plug phone into computer and the doctor will began surgery.......................tried to explain as best i can wish everyone understands and good luck cause now im going to start loading apps...

What I did was plugged the Pixi into a wall outlet and restarted the phone. As it began to restart I pushed up on the volume and held it till the big usb icon appear. After that I unplugged it and hooked it up to my PC then run webOS Doctor and I was then able to use it and got my problem fixed.

But if typing webos20090606 works then that sounds even better.

Here's pretty much the steps I did from Palm
