A stupid little hint for those using the included sleeve.

I'm a bit irritated that Palm included a little suede pouch instead of the leather side case like HTC did with the Touch series phones. I would have loved to see a leather case like the Instinct comes with.

That being said, I was at a Sprint store and noticed the side case they have (belt clip, magnet closure) is very nice, sturdy, and would offer some protection in case of droppage.

But I'm more of a phone in pocket kind of guy....So, browsing the Best Buy page, I noticed they had the Palm Pre Slip case, and it said availabe at my local store! Sweet, especially since I have no patience and hate to wait for shipping.

I paid for it online, went to pick it up and guess what. The only case they have in stock is the side case. So they are advertising the slip case, and stocking the side case...grrrrrr So the suede pouch is doing a fine job for the time being. I agree with other posters saying it's a great "Pre Mat" for desktop, etc. I also use it in my car. I lean the pouch up against the back of the cup holder, then rest the Pre there...Yes, I'm that anal.

I like the tightness of the original pouch (I did try flipping it inside out & its easier to get out but...) I carry a lot of gadgets in my bag. PSP, NDS, ARCHOS, Kindle, etc.

I don't want my precious pre slipping out of the pouch and getting scuffed up by my other larger toys, so I leave it on the Black side for more security!

Hahhah, i do the exact same thing. I have a center console cup holder and I put the pouch against the back and lean the pre up against it. AND the toothpaste method has been in effect since ownership. I kind of like it snug, but man, what a pain to stuff it back in all the way.

I bought the holster but am using the included case more, its into my pocket better. Toothpaste technique works great.

I love the included case and had been using the toothpaste method as well. Unfortunately, I lost it while on vacation and can't seem to find a replacement.
