Default Contact Photos, green bar & pixelation

So, very few of my contact pictures came across, so I decided to upgrade 'em. Inadvertently I found out that the size of the square in the "add contact picture" screen was 250 x 250. However, even tho my pictures are exactly that size, and look fine upon exiting that screen. Once I get back to the main contacts view, there is this ugly green bar maybe a few pixels thick on the right side. And if I go back into the original contact view, it's there, where it wasn't before.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

Additionally, when I go to call someone, the picture that comes up is 1000x times worse than what I attached. It seriously looks like the picture is 1/10 or less the resolution that I uploaded it.
    Bam!

Yup I had the same thing with a few on mine . I just deleted the Photo and and redid the drag and drop back into the Pre and it straightened it out. I think it might be getting corrupted some how

I was experiencing the same problem. I would create a 250x250 jpg to use, send it to my Pre via USB Drive Mode, edit in Contacts to attach the photo, and then it would be blurry and/or have a green bar on the side. My contacts are sync'd with Google as well.

But, I found the solution. Go to Google Contacts and attach the photo there. The photo remains clear when someone calls in. I think the Pre is just saving a small thumbnail of the photo and trying to scale it up instead of saving the original full size 250x250 with the contact.

    Hope that helps,
    Chris

I did a 200x200 image and it still came out blurry. So then I changed them to the size of wallpaper 320x480 and just moved the square where I wanted it came out crystal clear.
