Default Email delete problem in 1.04

I've noticed that when I get an email and view it (from the alert message), if I touch the trash-can, it no longer deletes my message. I have to swipe it away in my Inbox view.

However, if I select my mail from the Inbox view and touch the trash-can, it correctly deletes.

It's only if I read my email from my initial alert that the trash-can doesn't work any longer.

Anyone else have this problem?

Richard

Seems to be working okay for me. Does it make a difference whether the email app is already running or not when you tap the notification?

I found that it just takes mine back to that Main screen and then deletes it without me having to swipe. Try it once but give it a sec or two before you swipe it.

Just got an email notification. Email app was not running. Opened the new email and pressed the trash can. It took me to my inbox and the email is still there.

I'll leave my email app running and test another. I'll let you know.

OK, new update. By the time I'd written my last message, my screen had turned off. When I turned the screen back on my email was gone! That took a long time to actually remove the email from my inbox!

I have over 400 emails in the trash. Is there anyway to delete them all at once? All I can find to do is swipe them one at a time. This takes awhile. Also in my text messaging... I have several conversations that have been on going for several months. I tried to delete the entire conversation w/ a person and it want delete. When I type a letter for a search the person and all txt are still there. I am going through and deleting the txt one at a time but there are hundreds of them and it is taking for ever. Why can't I through the entire conversation away? This is very aggravating!!!!

Not from the phone client. It is best to do it from your computer email where it is more advanced and have "empty trash" capabilities. This is a mobile version, and it is not as advanced as your Outlooks or Gmails or Yahoos.

On a separate note, why are you worry about deleting trash? It is not taking any resources and as far as I know all of the mail systems automatically delete messages 30 days or older.... My $0.02
