Definitely. It was a mix. Part iPhone and part Palm. I really like "cards" that allows you switch between apps.

The touchscreen is capacitive like the iPhone. Palm appears to have done a great job with the web browser. That's a big feat, considering BlackBerry's Storm and the G1's browswer falls short of Safari.

Didn't get a picture of it, but there are some great visuals of a "wave dock". I'll try and shoot video of it tomorrow in my meeting with Palm.

Thanks, Chris. I like the cards, too. It always annoyed me in my Palm that I had to close apps when all I needed to do was move back and forth at times! Even to use the calculator! Dumb. So this looks nice to start with.

From demo time, it seems Palm wants you to keep apps open. You can have several cards open and you can even move them in any order you like. To remove a card, you simply swipe upwards and it's gone.

This looks like it's going to be an outstanding OS... I'm kinda in between though... My contract with Sprint is up about the time this fine looking device comes out, so I'm going to either stay with my 755p or snatch this little gem up... However, I'm torn between waiting a few months or getting on the bandwagon right away...

Get on the bandwagon. Of course, if you don't mind waiting in line on Pre Day.

True, however, I'm just going on "new things"... The Iphone both times were an absolute mess from what I saw... I like the bugs worked out of things before I jump in with both feet... if ya know what I mean.

There has been talk of a GSM version, but apparently only for European markets.
