Can't WAIT to hear feedback after you go it. This is JUST what i've been looking for. I don't want one of those hard, snap on cases. I want a 'stretch' case. Keep us posted!

I don't think it'll work with the touchstone charger since the back is completely covered; unless there's a cutout for the touchstone in the back; the pics don't show one. That's a dealbreaker for me, since I have to use the touchstone at home and in my car

    The case is in!

Hello all! I just got my case in the mail. I'll reserve my comments to the end of the post, but here are some pictures!

First of all, you should note that this case comes in two pieces that DO NOT snap together in any way. Also, I apologize for the "dusty" case pictures. I neglected to wipe the table before setting the case on it, so the silicone picked up every minute particle on the surface.

    Anyway, on with the pictures!

Okay...now for my comments. I do not like this case. I knew the Pre would be hard to make a silicone skin for due to the sliding keyboard, but I was disappointed to learn the case came in two pieces. The separate parts easily fall off, and the overall look is unfinished and cheap (IMHO).

Anyway, I have the glorious touchstone back and PhantomSkinz on the front, so I don't need the case, but I wanted to purchase a silicone skin...just in case I wanted a little more protection.

Even though I don't care for the skin...it's not a total wash. I may use it should I go biking, camping or anything else where the phone could get bumped. At $15 (which included shipping)...it's hardly a sacrifice I can't make for you all. :)

    Good luck with your decision!

Thanks for the info and review soccerbudd. I actually held off on buying this til someone had a review out. I think I'll pass. I'll stick with my IS front and touchstone back. I'm also using a body glove case I got at walmart for $17.

The case will work with any type of screen protector as it just fits over the front and back parts of the phone. Actually, I think the screen protectors help hold the silicone pieces in place better.

I bought the same case that Amzer is selling on amazon.com for about $6. After shipping it was about $10. It is identical to the pictures shown in this post.

My opinion is that this product is total garbage. Do not buy this product. The two pieces just fall off the phone and are not attached at all. The saying "you get what you pay for" comes to mind but does not even apply here. This is pure junk and I wasted my money on it.

If someone could post some pictures or do a review of the silicone skin on goblas.com that LetsRock mentioned earlier that would be much appreciated. Specifically do the two halfs latch together in a way that prevents them from simply falling off the phone? If the phone was dropped, would the two halfs stay together? There is a picture on goblas.com that shows the two parts not connected.

    Cheers

If what you all are saying about how the pieces just fall off and do not stay on, then Fommy is spitting false information on how the case "refuses to let go" and always stays in place when it is applied.

I told a buddy of mine at work about the issues you guys have stated about the pieces of the case that don't stay on very well and he offered a workaround that he has used in the past with other phones.

Go to a Home Depot type store and get some thin double sided film adhesive and place a little piece at the top and bottom of the back and then put the case on. This will hold the case in place and also just rolls off when you need to remove it and won't leave a stickiness either.

The back half of this case has a lot more surface area and holds on while simply shaking the device as shown in the video. Note in the video they are holding the front part in place as that is the piece that comes off very easily. It is also the part of the phone which in my opinion needs the most protection.

    This product = fail.

I do like the suggestion to use the double sided adhesive tape which I could see helping. That said, I am sure there will be some non-fail cases coming out down the road. (Still waiting for OtterBox)
