Availiability - This is getting RIDICULOUS So last week I was #9 on Best Buy's waiting list and now I am, you guessed it, still #9. What happened to reports of small, daily shipments of this phone? Every Wal-Mart, Radio Shack, and Best Buy in a 60 mile radius of Kansas City nearly LAUGHS me off the phone every time I even ask about one. It's like some big joke that I'm not in on. How in the world does Sprint think it is a good idea to start marketing this phone next week when availability is nearly null? PS - it doesn't help that B.Buy is the only online retailer that allows you to do an inventory search.
my co workers wife walked into the sprint store yesterday afternoon at scottsdale plaza in chicago and picked up a pre. think shortages are hit or miss.
If you're wanting to save $100 then you will be waiting a while to get one. Almost any sprint store will have one for you today if you are willing to wait 10-14 weeks to get that $100 back in a rebate. Just be glad you arent a Sprint employee and have to wait till August to get one.
Yeah I was going to say going to Sprint direct is your best bet. Getting one at Best Buy is like trying to get a Wii from them circa 2007.
I picked mine up at the sprint store on launch day (got in line around 5:45am and was #9 in line). There were 50 available at the sprint store. Right across the street at Best Buy, they only got 3. Yes, three phones. Why bother screwing around with Best Buy, just get it from Sprint. I have a buddy who got on Sprint's waiting list and within 2 days got the call that his was available.
I'll second this one... I'm pretty sure the daily reshipment was for Sprint stores (with the exception of Sundays)... the incentive of buying from BB was the $100 instant rebate, but the tradeoff was that their supplies were extremely limited at launch and even more so throughout the summer... better off trying the Sprint stores directly, or Sprint online
Well, although I live in the state of New Hampshire, there are actually several Sprint stores aorund.......................that have no Pres.............and have no idea when they are going to receive them. So although getting the phone directly from a Sprint store may seem like a good idea, its not if you live around my area!
The store i got it on launch had over 200 trust me i was counting them as i was waiting. Sprint stores are the best place to get the phone trust me. Best Buy is bleh and Radioshack you have a better chance of finding a Million dollars then a pre in those stores.
Uh dude go to a Sprint store before Best Buy, if there is a shortage obviously they are going to take care of their own stores before another retailer.
I went into a Sprint store and received the instant rebate. No problem. They were out the first day I went in but called me 3 days later and I went down and picked one up.
Also if you are looking to shave off $100 have them defer it to your account. If you are in good standing with them they will do this for you. I had them do it on launch day so I could purchase the Touchstone and car charger.
I have to laugh here, no not at you, but when I went to my Sprint store, they told me to check Best Buy because they would carry more and get shipments quicker! What a racket!!! I don't know who to believe!!!!!
well i got a random call (didn't leave a message) on my phone last friday evening and called the sprint store to see if it was them trying to call me about my pre. Anyway the guy gets so frustrated trying to look me up on the waiting list he told me they have one left with no name on it and if i could get down there quickly i could have it. I get a call today saying they have my pre ready hehe. I too had been given lots of info. Radioshack said they wouldnt be getting them for 4-6 weeks and they would have it MUCH cheaper too. Like palm is gonna slash the price after that short of time.... --Shadd
You should come out here to the Seattle area, there are plenty to go around. Best Buys, Rad Shack and Walmart aren't even carrying them, just sprint stores.

Spirit, I called and they said it was possible!! Holy crap! Unfortunately I'm only eligible for the $75 upgrade....so its gonna cost me a few bills!! Thanks for the info!!!
hey no problem. Are you a premiere customer??? Tell them that you heard it was possible for a premiere care customer to get the full upgrade eligibility after only 22 months.
