battery life Does anyone else have a bad battery life on this phone or could it just be that I got a bad phone?? Another problem I have with this phone is that the screen light gets dim all of a sudden and five seconds later it gets bright again. I have the dimmer set to 1 minute so i dont think it has anything to do with that. Any comments would be appreciated thank you!
i dont know what phone you are comparing the battery life too but i came from a multimedia phone (highnote) and also noticed that battery life was a lot less. some of that has to be cause its a smart phone and takes more power to run. now about the dimmer. the phone has a photocell in it so when in a dark or dim lit room it automatically adjusts the brightness. i guess this is to help save battery life. personally i wish you could turn this feature off but at this time i haven't found an option for that.
I agree that the battery life is not great....but, there are reasons. I have had mine since the beginning of December. I bought mine and three more one for each of my daughters. Pay attention to the actual time that you use it and you might discover what I did. The battery life is just as advertised. You may find like us that because of the apps you are using you are actually using it more than your previous phone/s I have previously had Saynos and loved them but only used the text and talk features I use the pixi for everything and the battery suffers. My 3 daughters are great examples the one who makes an occassional call and only a couple of texts a day and an occasional use as an mp3 player is getting more than a day of use while I and my other daughters who are using it constantly need the use of the stone or car chargers during the day. If you really count the time by the watch you might discover that all things considered it really isnt bad. It also has gotten better since I bought it the more that i charge it. Besides unlike the Iphone if it goes bad the battery that is I just take it in and get a new one.
This is true. A lot of people notice "bad" battery life right after a new phone comes out because they're constantly using it, trying apps, etc.
The dimming is probably a result of the proximity sensor. As for battery life, yeah, it's not the greatest, but then again, I'm always playing with my phone, so....
I have had bad luck with the batteries. My phone is constantly on a charger. I replaced the battery yesterday and had it 100% charged last night. When I woke up this morning, it had drained over night. It's been plugged up for an hour and still won't turn on. This happened yesterday too, before I replaced the battery.
