Don't worry, it's widely known that Best Buy over-inflates its no-contract phone prices to dissuade people from buying them without signing up for service. While they offer the option, they prefer not to have you exercise it.

This price has no bearing on the true no-contract pricing offered by Sprint.

What he is saying is true in every word but then again if you were going to purchase the phone without contract then your saying stay clear of Best Buy am i correct to say that is also true.

This is the first I've seen that says anything about video on release. Everything I've seen says it would probably be sent out in an update after release. If this is true it would even add to my excitement, I love having a video camera everywhere I go (I have a 4 year old son) :)

exactly...there are some who probably are in the middle of contracts and thus will have to be buying it at full price

Hopefully I can get some decent money for my Instinct on eBay. I sold my mogul on there when I bought the Instinct. That should help alleviate the cost.

Well remember that many people are Premier customers who get a full upgrade every 12 months, even though their contract is for another year. When they upgrade, a new 2 year plan takes it's place. So in other words, if you don't take the upgrade, then you can obviously just finish out the contract, an upgrade just makes the 2 year start over.

You might be better off just taking it to Sprint and getting your $50 instead. I surmise there's going to be plenty of people attempting the same thing as you with the Instinct, between the new model of Instinct being released and the Pre.

Personally, I'm getting my brother's Centro back and trading in my 755p to reduce costs (I forsee a lack of cashflow for myself in the near future)

    Aldo,
I asked this same question on another thread. What is going on. I want to consider the idea of buying the Pre from BB; provided that I can pay $199.00 with instant rebates, and provided that I can get Sprint's insurance through BB without any problems. Am I dreaming, or will BB be ready to deliver the Pre on June 6 without shortage problems?

My guess would be no. since BB is only getting an average of 4 pres per store for launch. I'm just going to save my time and frustration and order through telesales. yeah i'l have to submit the MIR but the chances of me landing one a BB on june 6th is too slim and I have a much better chance at getting one thorugh sprint themselves.

I take it they buy with no contract so they won't be tied to a contract for 2 years but I think that is a very high price when it is being offered on Palm for $549. I'm sure it will be that even in Best Buy on June 6th. And for the time being it will only be available on the Sprint Network.
