    Best Buy Pre Case

Just saw this on best buy's website didn't see it posted on the forum

This might be what someone was talking about they saw in the store earlier.

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...m pre&lp=2&type=product&cp=1&id=1218094605081

What do you guys think, I have an invisible shield on its way, but I always like hard cases.

Doesn't look like it's designed to allow for the keyboard to slide out based on the angle image.

I just got that case today from Best Buy and it actually fits rather well. It DOES allow the phone to slide open/closed without impeding the slide at all. It is "plastiky" feeling, but I figure it will protect the phone for a few falls and sacrifice itself as it's supposed to do. They had a clear and gunmetal color...I have the gunmetal. Overall not bad for $20. The picture is not a very good representation of the case.

I bought that case when I bought the Pre and returned it the next day. I got so mad at the Pre thinking it was cheap and crappy feeling when really it was the case. The extra space it added on the top slider half made it even harder for me to get my man fingers in there to type that top row of text.

That case makes the Pre look like crap too, IMHO. I'm currently scoping out an Egrips back piece and a clear screen protector for the front. Or a hard rubber slim case...at least that would add some grip. My Pre gets pretty slippery in my hands sometimes...

Both options I'm looking at are cheaper than the crap $20 Rocketfish case.

Bought, tried it, and returned it. It works but it is very cheap build quality. I would get an Innocase instead, although that probably wouldn't work with an InvisiSHield. BTW, you should buy and PhantomSkinz instead...fewer bubbles, virtually no orange peel, and less gooey than the Invis (had that too and ripped it off).

I have been using it since the launch and it is not a problem for me. I take it off once a week to get any stuff out of there that found its way from my pocket and underneath is a shiny new pre looking just as it did the day I bought it. Everything works fine with it on and I can still slide the qwerty up with one hand. If you want to protect your pre and I mean really protect your pre I recommend getting one!

I was at Sprint earlier and a guy started talking to me about his Pré.
He had a case he bought at Best Buy and it looked real good. It didn't take away from the phone's pebbley good looks at all.
I'm gonna assume this is the one, he said it cost $20.
I'll be picking on up in black as soon as my Brando Screen protector gets here.

This was the case I saw. Unless I'm looking at something different they do come in colors. At least online. I bought the "gunmetal" which is really grey and then swapped it out for the clear.
I think it fits pretty good doesn't interfere with the buttons or slider at takes some of the slop out of the clicky hinge.

I just wish they had a black in the store. hmm... Just checked and online says they do.

Just got the black. Had to get the "holster" as well.
Slight issue with sliding while plugged in ):

This is the case to get though. It's a matt true black, the gunmetal was clear inside.
Not fingerprints and won't show scratches as easily I'd imagine, the clear was starting to show scratching after one night of use.

The black also doesn't stand out as badly as the gunmetal and definitely not as much as the clear. Also it doesn't seem to be as thick in the screen area as the clear was.
That was a little shocking as the gunmetal wasn't thick in that area as well.

The "holster" seems pretty good. I only use a holster at work but this will be out of the question, I keep my phone in a ziplock at work.

Now where is that dern Brando protector? ):<

Well, technically, the keyboard doesn't slide out, the screen slides up...

I bought this case form best buy and I think it is a good solution to protect the outer shell of the pre, I use this and still have enough room with the case on to put the pre in the Faux leather sock that came with the pre.

    It works for me.

I had this case for very short period of time. I liked it but not as much as i like other for my Pre. I bought it from http://www.wirelessphonegallery.com/palm.aspx on discounted price.

But seriously talking I am getting bore of Palm and now have planned to change my phone. Any suggestion? iPhone or Blackberry?
