Brand new BB had a non working demo out... Went to a brand new BB in KC, Kansas by the Legends and they had a non working demo. It slid open and the buttons felt real. The screen was a fake screen shot. The sales associate tried talking me into an Iphone because they were better and looked cooler. Didnt see anyone else seeing those in BB's or Sprint stores yet. She did say they were getting 5 in, but she didnt know when. Size was great and the buttons will be ok after some use. The bottom "lip" below the space was odd. It sticks up to lock into place when closed and the buttons are down a bit farther than any picture could show. Keys didnt seem nearly as big as the Palm Pro's.
Jerk sales guy--everyone knows there is a new iPhone coming soon, so even if you want an iPhone wouldn't it be silly to buy one now? Reminds of when BB was selling the old Touch's LONG after the 2nd gen was out, and they were selling them for far too much--not a good enough discount for buying last year's technology. I'm not a big BB fan. I got far better deals at CC, bless their departed souls.
It was humorous. She said she could type way faster on the Iphone. I asked how many times she had used the Pre? The reply was, "well I just am way better with on screen keyboards". I asked her how the Iphone was at browsing multiple web pages while listening to music and switching between applications that were still running. She gave me a blank look and said well it can't and there is no phone that can. I pointed to the Pre and said that ugly, non functional phone can. I'm sure if I would have stuck around she would have given me more bait/ammo. Worst Buy doesnt change.
