Found the Best Holster / Case

I know its the wrong section, but I figured noone would read it over there.

Anyway, coming from a BB, they have the best holsters for people who are constantly moving, phone never comes out, and the clip rotates which is nice for driving etc.

I couldnt find a nice holster made for the Pre, the stock one from palm is just gay since it is horizontal.

So I went to Best Buy (which blows :laugh3: btw) And tested out all the holsters they had to offer. The holster for the BB 8300 is by far the best fitting for the Pre and you get to take advantage of the rotating clip. Fits perfect, stays in, and wont fall out, and the magnet still closes tight. Albeit the price sucks, i think mine was $28 or so, it is well worth it, and way better than any that I have seen so far for that are made for the pre.

This case got TERRIBLE reviews. The clip is evidently very cheap.

This is the case that shipped OEM for my husband's Blackberry World Edition and it actually is quite a great little case for those who want/need a holster. The leather is nice and soft and it you aren't rough on it, it is well enough made. His clip did end up breaking, but only after a full year of wearing it every day...and even though it came w/ the phone and he could have upgraded to any other kind of case, he chose to replace it. And, as you see, the price is right for giving it a try!

The only thing I'd caution against is that I have heard some folks saying that the magnets on the BB cases (in place to put the BB into sleep mode) do the exact opposite for the Pre because of the induction charging points on it. Make sure that the screen doesn't stay on, some people have said they have to be certain to put it into the case facing one direction only or else the magnet will keep the phone from going into standby.

Those Blackberry holster are nice but make sure to be careful when getting in and out of a vehicle because the belt clips on those will snap like nobody's business if you are wreckless with them.

I think I'm going to go w/ an invisible skin full body for a while and just keep using the little pouch that came with it. As a woman I don't usually carry it on my belt and right now I've been slipping it into a quilted pocket in my purse and it's been all good.

I bought that exact case from Best Buy Saturday when I bought the phone, it has worked perfectly so far, when and if the clip breaks, I know where to get it real cheap from now on.

Been using the one for my 8830 for a year now, from desert to ocean to working under racecars. Never had a problem at all.

Dont know where the reviews came from, but from personal experience they work well.

I just bought one from Best Buy. I like it so far especially since I got it for 20% off (they screwed up their ad - 20% off cases but doesn't specify brands despite what the cashier said.)

Completely agree with the recommended BB Swivel Holster. I never used the thing for my actual blackberry, but the Pre fits snug and I cannot imagine anything better.

I used to love the Seidio holster that I used with every BB i owned. Seidio now has one for the Pre. You can buy it from this site but its not available until around the 29th. If you order directly from Seidio you can get it now they have them in stock for the same price.

They are by far the best to use. They havea rubberized shell and a soft inside liner. They keep your phone secure. Only drawback I see in the design for the pre is it blocks access to the 3.5mm jack on the top. So if you use it in the car for audio you will have to remove it from the holster.
