Awesome!!! So glad this was finally brought over to the Pre. This app is tried and tested on a few other phones/platforms so server issues are just growing pains when embracing a brand new OS. Keep up the good work and i'm sure the bugs will pass.

is there a plan for audio or am I missing something. Also, app seems to drain the battery but a car charger is an easy fix. Let me say that I am very thankful for this awesome app and glad to see you are down with WebOS!

This is because of the server issues.

Thanks for your feedback, I will post here when I have an update about releasing a new updated version of Trapster.

Important announcement: the Palm Pre (WebOs) app that was previously posted had some serious issues that did not show up until a large number of users tried to use the app simultaneously. We were forced to shut off the app. we have already fixed the problem, and it is in testing and review. Hopefully an update will be posted by 10/20/2009. We are very sorry about the trouble. Thank you for your patience.

Thanks for the update. I noticed that when I run the app there are no traps or anything else that show up, except my position. Should I delete the app from my phone, or just wait until there is an update?

Best thing to do would be to delete the app and download the new release when posted to the catalog.

To all of the users who have the issue of Trapster hanging at the loading screen. I've figured out why it does that, and it is NOT a bug in the program. It's an issue with some random batch of Pre's. One of which I own.

My Sprint navigation has this issue where sometimes it can't find the GPS. I give it an address and it'll sit there "looking for GPS" until the bar fills up, then says it can't even though i've got a perfect EVDO signal on a bright cloudless day. It refuses to find the GPS until either a soft-boot or hard-boot. Then it works fine. This has happened to me since i've had the phone. (i've got an original Pre bought on release day).

I couldn't confirm that the GPS was the issue until I installed Trapster. I had heard about it hanging at the loading screen but never encountered that issue until today. I closed and re-opened the program thinking it was just a hiccup but found it hanging the same way.

So I loaded up the Sprint Navigation and tried to get a route and it had the same "couldn't find GPS" error. So I soft-booted the phone (orange button+symbol+R) and when it came back up, Trapster loaded in 3 seconds. I closed Trapster and pulled up the Sprint Navigation and it too worked very quickly like it should.

Does anyone else have an issue with the Sprint Navigation not functioning sometimes? I doubt i'm the only Pre owner with this issue. Maybe it's time I trade it in for a refurbished one and pray.

Not sure, I don't have time to be without a phone for right now, so i'm just going to have to put up with it.
