Sorry if this has been discussed before but I have an original Pre and I love it, now I need a new phone so I went to the Sprint page and they only had the Pixi?? I'm not downgrading to a Pixi and I was hoping for a Veer or a 3. Is Sprint going to stop carrying my Palm phones?

That's the million dollar question. So many Palm users are on Sprint and have completed their two years of service. The big unknown is why we've never seen a new device on Sprint. Sprint is big into Android, but it's surprising to see they don't consider a new HP device. They have a built-in audience, considering most webOS users are Sprint users.

I haven't seen any indication that Sprint is prepping a webOS phone. In fact, I've seen the opposite. Their roadmap doesn't make mention of any webOS phones.

Damn. Unfortunately I have to stay with Sprint since I am piggy-backed on my husband's unlimited data plan. I really really don't want a Droid, I would consider an iPhone (if they ever get that too!) but I wouldn't be happy with it so I guess that only leaves Blackberry. Ugh.

You are forgetting a major platform and one that is very, very good -- Windows Phone 7. Right now, your choices are limited to the HTC Arrive, but I'd almost guarantee you'll see some major new WP7 phones in the fall with the Mango release.

I agree that it is an oversight, although it was intentional. My husband is a super geek anti-Windows guy (Unix rules apparently) from way way back. I'm pretty sure I won't ever own a Windows phone.

Let me guess, he's an Android user?

Currently yes, but actually he doesn't like it. I think he likes the *idea* of it but is disappointed in the execution.

Regardless of platform, the fall is a great time to buy a new phone. We should see some new models coming out in time for the holidays.

Not a problem. Thanks for taking the time to join.

If you jump platforms, be sure to check out one of our other sites -- Android, iPhone, Windows Phone.
