I Don't Like Being Gashmoygadied.. Neither Will You I Suspect.

That's what I was talking about exactly. If the phone get's damaged in a way, that most others won't* then it's "bad".

Insurance doesn't quite work that way. If your ear piece gets garbled due to a loose connection or the screen stops working and you walk into your local Sprint they give you a new phone UNLESS they can say you have liquid damage or abused the phone.

A few days ago I tried placing a claim online. It didn't take the claim and told me to go to the store for an in-store replacement. In the claim I choose screen damage.
Today I filed a new claim and just said it fell off the top of my car where I forgot it since that's what it looks like now :)
Paid for Sat shipping so I'll be back in the saddle tomorrow.

Guy at work walked in on his day off and gave me the money to replace the phone, I had to explain I have it I just didn't want to and ordered the phone in front of him so he'd take his money back.

And I take offense at the term "being screwed over".

*I've dropped a number of phones over the years, so has my wife, so has quite a few from the phones I've tried buying from craigslist, and they do not crack afterward, Scratches yes, cracks no.

What I have in front of me appears to be a NEW phone.
I say appears cause I can't log into my profile and I can't get to the dialer to make sure :) Trying to fix that with Palm right now.

Build quality seems better especially the keyboard. It has a better tactile feel to it.
It's a touch more "clicky" and the backlight is actually even, There's only minor lines through the "E", "X" and "M".

Don't worry, you're not alone. I decided against using a new Palm Profile, so my Pre became deactivated yesterday when I activated the Pixi. So, while I am enjoying 1.3.1, it's not on my Pre. I have to re-activate my Pre today and then create a new profile for the Pixi so that I can do more direct comparisons between the two.

Oh waah! You have a Pre and Pixi :)

I'm really hating the fact that I'm gonna go get a a Pixi on Dec 1st to make up with Palm. Although I'll be getting it from Best Buy and taking their insurance. I need to check they have a deductible?

I'm able to get into the phone dialer through some trickery and the OS on it is 1.1 although the phone was built 0n October 11th.

Interesting, I moved my profile back to the Pre (and downloaded 1.3.1). When I was signed out the Pixi, it remained activated.

huh? Your using all the profiles up!

I still can't get in or create a new profile.
Palm nor Sprint knows what's going on.

Weird about your phone. Honestly, my cats have ran under my bed at full speed and pulled my phone off the headboard by the cord, onto a tile floor, a few times, and so far I have no cracks or any visible damage. I have the invsishield, but that's it, no case. Maybe I'm just lucky, I dunno? (I have a launchday model)
