Install Failed - Restart Required

I get this error when i try to install new apps since downloading the recent update.

Install Failed - Restart Required
System adjustments must be made before installation can continue.
It gives me the options of
Restart and Cancel

i've tried restarting but nothing works and i keep getting the Install Failed notification at the bottom of the phone...its annoying!

how do i fix this?!?

Ok, so I was scanning some other forums and found the fix for the problem. I dunno if you or anyone else still needs this info but I figured no harm in posting even if you don't. You need Preware to be installed, if u got it, open it and update the feeds. Then hit "list everything" and type emergency. In the list of things that come up hit Emergency Migration Helper. It'll ask you if it's ok to restart Luna. Go ahead. When your phone comes back up after that it'll be working normal again with the app catalog.

if you use webos quickinstaller, you can run the restart luna command from the console, without installing additional apps to your pre.

Thanks- this helped me fix a "FAILED_IPKG_INSTALL" jam that prevented anything else from installing.
