Do you guys think it may produce a heat related issu with putting an invisible shield between the touchstone and pre? Like some type of discoloration or warping?
Just got my Clear-Coat on and it looks great. Went on with no problems at all and it doesn't affect the touchscreen at all.
I just got my Best Skins Ever skin and, while I have not yet put it on my phone, I have put it (and the paper backing that it comes on) between my phone and the Pre and it does not affect the Touchstone's charging capabilities. Even the magnet seemed unaffected.
Since the touchstone works by magnetic induction plastic shields should have no effect. A thicker case especially metal probably would affect touchstone charging. Dave in TX
I don't think the skins will affect the touchstone charging but will the heat from the charging affect the shield such as melting or anything like that?
I got & installed my Invisible Shield today. No problem at all with the touchstone. I like the look of my Pre with the shield on.
The Zagg full body shield I have the InvisibleShield full body kit and it works great with my Touchstone.
I have the invisible sheild and it works great also with the touchstone no noticable difference,except it leaves an indentation ring the shape of the touchstone in the sheild,Its not a permanent mark because within a couple of hours it was gone.
I am one of those installers of paint protection film on the cars and I will be pattening the pre in the next few days (now that I have one) I did it custom the day I got it but yes the computer makes much better cuts than even I can with years of experience. I have lots of extra film and have been making kits for iphones and ipods as well as treos, LGs and Storms, etc. I sell kits on ebay for a few bucks (fronts and backs). I just installed Phantom Skinz. Thumbs up, it seems to be a really nice product. No orange peel and screen is as crisp as without. I mention that cause at first I thought it was doing some weird effect but it just needed to dry. Very important, give it the 24hrs to dry. It really needs to settle in.
you touchstone folks.. you covered up the rubberized backing? it stick ok? Tho, I think I'd want to keep the rubberized feel, heh.
