Just press on them and hold them until a halo pops up, then drag them to where you want them. If you want it in your bottom launcher you will have to move one out of the launcher first. Holding Sym and clicking a link in the browser, acts like a ctrl + click in firefox and opens that link in a new browser window.
A complete listing of hash codes for the pre can be found here: http://forums.precentral.net/palm-pre/184651-pre-specific-hash-codes.html#post1662866 Most useful for me is ##GPS# (Hope its not uncouth to link another forum)
Forward a Message From page 212 in the manual: 1. Open a message and tap (the icon with the arrow to the right). 2. Address the forwarded message (see “Create and Send an Email Message” on page 208). 3. Enter the forwarded message text and tap (the paper airplane icon).
Not sure if people are doing this right, but this is how you move your cursor/highlight words on a sentence/paragraph of words. To move cursor: 1. Tap somewhere on the sentence/paragraph that you want to navigate in. ( So that the blinking cursor is somewhere on the body of words.) 2. Hold the Orange button, and scroll/swipe left or right ANYWHERE on the screen. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE ON THE SENTENCE. Many people have not realized this yet. Example: The dog jumped over the| fence. I tapped the screen and it put my cursor right after the word "the". To move the cursor I hold the Orange Button, and a direction pad around the cursor will show up as I'm holding it. Then I can place my finger anywhere on the screen and move my finger left or right. Doing so will move my cursor backward or forward, letter or word at at time depending on how fast I move my finger. So if any of you are struggling to place your cursor at the beginning of a sentence with your fingertips, then this is what you should be doing. Same thing goes with selecting text for Copy/Paste. Only this time you hold the shift key. The same direction pad will show up around the cursor, and move your finger left or right anywhere on the screen to move the placed cursor and highlight words around it. I hope this helps you. Once you get the idea of it, inserting a forgotten letter or word in a paragraph is no longer a problem.
Thanks EcIipse, I referenced your explanation in the main thread. Should make things a lot easier for some people.
I believe the poster was referring to forwarding texts. Since that's the thing a lot seem to be complaining about.
correct, i was looking for the icon with the arrow to the right and was going nuts! Still wishing i could forward texts.....................
Sorry for the mixup. As far as I can tell you can forward email messages, but not instant messages. That may change in an update.
Is there a way to quick scroll to top of browser like in safari (iphone) where you tap on the top titlebar?
Only scrolling method I know other than finger on the screen is in the first post. I don't know if there is an option like the one you described.
Most of the time just pressing the ENTER key will take you to the next field. This is does not work 100% of the time though, more like 90%, but it does work.
Dial phone # with a pause: enter p or t within the phone # to obtain a pause (ex: 1(800)123-4567p1234) putting two t's after the number and before the extension gave the dialer enough time to wait for an answer before dialing the extension. (ex: (888)111-1111tt1234)
