lcd problem looks like a bubble not yellow issue

So just noticed now.. was using pandora for last few hours.. (only drained about 55% in 3 hours of use.. i thought that was good).

noticed what i thought was an air bubble underneath the screen protector (still havnt taken it off, waiting for my invisible shield).. but its not. its actually in the LCD. its right on the very edge maybe 3/4 of an inch down from usb port..

it looks just like an air bubble under the screen.

going to see about taking it back. its not too bad when its on.. but im worried it may spread.

plus it kills my whole "i have a brand new phone and its perfect" attitude ive had playing with it the last few days.

ive loved it..no issues with anything. but now im worried ill exchange it and get a crappy one!! ay yi yi.:frown:

anyone hear of something similar? ive seen the pics of dead pixels and stuff..its definitely not like that issue

I just noticed the EXACT same thing in the EXACT spot you mentioned on mine this morning. Very weird

Is it on the screen, bottom right quadrant..if so I noticed that yesterday, but thought it was just something I did.
  4. twenty_3 New Member

    Yep, that's where it is

WTF, this isn't good, does it feel kind of hard when you run your finger over it. Like something is stuck on there, but then you release it is the screen itself.

No, it just looks like an air bubble. Really visible when screen is black

Least I'm not the only 1.. you do anything different today than before it happened?

^I saw that about our names too! Guess I'm gonna have to try to get another one as well. This sux..

yeah.. its not bad im just worried about it getting worse or something.. plus its just annoying, new phone..i try to take real good care of it and it breaks itself! lol...

hopefully i dont get a new one with yellow spots or a crappy battery and stuff, lol.

Mine was actually on the bottom right part about a quarter inch and it looked like the lcd hadn't been glued properly.. I took mine back and exchanged it..

at least they arnt giving ppl problems exchanging. my local store said they have a 28 ppl long waiting list, but i'm assuming ill be on the top of that list to get another one seen how i already paid for it once. I'll find out tonight when i stop in the store!

I had the yellow bleached out issue. I replaced mine, now i've got symetrical dots through out my screen on my new device, which by the way the replacement device feels different than the orginal launch day device. It came with the updated software, it was peppyer and batter life seems a tiny bit better.

Also I'm to the point i am so un happy with with the hardware defects I'm probably going to return my device. and wait. I found out i'm looking for a device that can be on wifi all day. Maybe the 3gs iphone if indeed the wifi chip uses less power than before.

grrr i love this OS!!! but the hardware!!! I can't stand other OS, they all suck and are boring webOS *drool*

I have the same issue...but my bubble is in the upper right below the connection strength indicator.

Do you see the dots when the screen is off? If so, this is a characteristic of any touch screen phone. I have it on mine, but you can only see them "sparkle" in certain lights.

Yep, I have an air bubble in my plastic as well, right in the middle about a third of the way up from the bottom. I've got an order in with sprint so I should have a new shiny phone in a few short days.
