multitasking rocks. pre fast. 3Gs supporter eats his words. LOL

    Entertainment videos.

3GS supporter eats his words, watch first video and then the next one.

You've seen the demos, but you've got to watch this, especially if you don't own a pre. Like 8 apps open simultaneously, no problems, no significant slow down.

    1) Palm Pre multi-tasking isn't special

    2) Rethinking the Pre's multi-tasking

    3) Pre speed and multi- tasking

The guy from the first 2 clips still prefers his 3g s which is cool. It's just funny to know so many with other phones feel like he did in the first video. It's very cool that he doesn't appear to be a complete fanboy also.

A palm street team needs to be flooding the web with video #3 and really touting how awesome the phone is. Get a lengthy ad spot and show the phone off. Other phones are certainly doing this.

I have been disappointed with sprints ability to advertise. They seem to treat it like any other phone.

Palm Pre Multitask Rocks HA i'm cool. He is right when you press the center button on the Pre it turns into a live untouched card and then you swipe to another live card. On the Iphone its exactly the same as well you push the center button to completely close the app and the open up a new app. Here was a great multitask moment when i was in Baltimore. I was taking a pic for my bud and was in the process of sending it through email until i saw something cool. So i swiped that email card up turned on my camera and snapped the pic, went back to the email that was still running and placed another pic i just took a second ago. Pow Pow Pre rocks but Iphone too soo stop fighting.

They don't have enough Pres as it is. Until they can improve their supply chain, they're going to have to stick with word of mouth advertising.

    I've sold 4 pres already. :)

To me it depends where you live. The sprint by me has a crap load of Pre's just sitting there. There selling them but getting replacements just as fast. Day one they had over 200 phones and sold all of them. I drove by around 6pm that day and it was gone. Also there advertising could be better but they have some on tv and youtube, facebook and also in New York i see a billboard in the train station.

It's the usual marketing problem of assuming your consumers are unintelligent. Most products you have to convince people to buy even though there is nothing unique or special about them. With the Pre, there is a genuine opportunity to make a commercial that dispenses with the marketing folderol and just shows what the phone does. I've convinced quite a few people to get a Pre just by showing them what it does. And yes, this includes IPhone users (but admittedly not IPhone diehards).

Until AT&T improves its network (or we get a CDMA iPhone), you'll never convince me to even evaluate the device. All I hear from my friends on AT&T is how they can't ever seem to get a signal.

Hardware-wise, the 3GS is better-spec'ed than the Pre. But what good is that power if you can't use it due to no multitasking and a substandard network?

You talk about Sprint lack of commercials i totally agree with you, one night i saw like 10+ iPhone commercials, and so far i saw like maybe 4 Pre ones, thats crazy, maybe it is Pre + Sprint budget that doesnt allow for this? What ever is the case they should flood the T.V market with the Pre commercials.

i agree. and the commercials i see for the pre are quick and dont really demonstrate what the pre's true power is. its something along the road of "the pre: constantly updates multiple applications in realtime". why not just say "the first smart phone that can truely multitask"? or something like that? I'm no marketing student but from a consumers point of view its still confusing the way they advertise it.

First off I just wanted to say that I love my Palm Pre, especially coming off of the Windows Mobile OS. But idk why anyone really cares about the advertising of the phone. I personally don't work for Sprint or Palm so it doesn't really affect my bottom line, which is the lining in my wallet. I know we're all 'fans' of our phones and all, but I really don't see alot of Sprint commercials anyways, for the Pre or any of their other devices. Personally, seems like our area of the country gets bombarded with Verizon commercials more than anything.

With Sprint having lost so many of their customers within recent years, you would imagine that they would advertise more. I would assume that the more people that buy the Palm Pre, the more this would encourage increased development of apps for the phone. But oh well, I have a pre and that's all that matters to me...:laugh3:

Just like Corky used to say in that 80s tv show, Oblah Dee, Oblah Dah, Life goes on...

Cause right now that is there major selling point, they are lacking in apps so they grab the strong of the phone. But as time goes they will make different commercials and hope they will have stronger selling points, they still should commercialize more then they are doing now.

Videos removed!!! If you didn't see them u missed a treat. Apple probably made him remove them. LMFAO.

In short first video he went on about how multitasking was BS and a joke and just and advertizing scam and how iphone could multitaks jsut as well with few exceptions. He begged to be shown how pre does it better.

In follow up video he got his wish. He completely humbled himself and admitted multitasking on pre does it better. Cool thing is, he admitted competition is good and he knows iphone is gonna respond with its own version...
