to change the 4 icons on the bottom home screen...bring up the launcher, then tap and hold the icon until you see a halo. Now you can move it or replace it with something else. :)

Here are some of the things I've learned that are useful...

Flick up from the gesture area to bring up the launcher. Do it again to toggle the launcher away again.

Using the camera, space bar takes a picture as well as the icon on the touchscreen.

To get away from a memo, flick it off the top of the screen, then when you go back to memos from the launcher, you'll get the memoboard instead of that memo.

If Synergy doesn't recognize that two profiles from different services are the same person, bring up one of the contacts, but don't tap "edit". Instead, tap the image stack on the upper-right of the card, then choose "Link More Profiles" from the dropdown. Scroll through to the other contact for that person and tap it to merge them.

Note that when you link in a new profile, it becomes the primary for that contact. To change the primary contact, tap it in the same list and choose "set as primary profile". That is also where you "unlink" a profile if you make a mistake.

When viewing a picture you can upload it to your facebook by touching the icon on top, left corner and select upload. If you have sync'd your facebook acct, it should be listed as an upload option.

Should try to ask Chris to make this an official sticky, he made my shortcuts into one. If you guys know any Pre keyboard shortcuts go into the sticky and let me know, I will add it to the master list on the first post.

    I <3 this phone!

Your Pre came with a couple of default image albums: Wallpapers, Photo Roll, and one for saved email attachments that may not be created yet.

To create additional albums, just connect in USB mode and create one or more folders at the root level of the drive. If you put image files in those folders, Pre will find them and display the folder names as albums in the photos card.

I got a good one for you guys and gals :p

To take a screenshot hold FN (the orange key) + Sym + press P

..now go back to your photo albums and it'll be a new album label 'screencaptures' :)

Oh.. and another little tip.. youtube videos downloaded from www.keepvid.com in High Quality .mp4 format are 'Pre-ready'. After you've downloaded any vid just load them somewhere onto your pre and it plays in pretty nice quality via the built-in Video app!

One more that I just thought of!

To soft-reset the phone without doing a battery pull:

    1) Press and hold the power button

    2) While power button is still held down, toggle the ringer/vibrate switch back-and-forth like 6 times

    3) Let go.. give it a second or two and the phone will give a little chime and proceed to restart. That'll help when you need to reboot the phone without having to resort to a battery pull :p

For those of you with heat issues:

The salesguy at the store I got mine at said that his test Pre (he had it a week) ran pretty hot until after he got the WebOS update. After the update, it ran a lot better.
