lol wow I can't believe i just wasted 2 minutes of my life reading that.. "rumored as.." every line? this comparison is rumored as BS.
Even if the rumoured iPhone 3 stuff comes true, it STILL won't have full-on multitasking like the Pre. I don't want (cr)Apple telling me what I can and can't run at the same time. Bad enough they tell me what's acceptible for me to install on my device... *grumbles*
i know and I hate to have to go here again, but if I want baby shaker on my iPhone i should be able to get it!
the oled screen sounds really nice but im surprised they wouldnt increase the resolution of the screen to make it nicer.
Ok I concede.. the OLED screen was one feature I was hoping would make it to the Pre. All the other stuff doesn't really appeal to me.

I'm certainly no expert in OLED tech, but I've read that OLED will wash out in bright sunlight. ie, even with good contrast and brightness in room lighting, word around the 'net is that sunlight wipes out the image. IF true, that would be a deal breaker for me, living in sun drenched SJ.
I wonder how useful the compass will be? Will probably have much better turn-by-turn directions......I can see the directions actually starting in the direction you are already travelling. I am also surprised by the FM radio....I wonder if the reception will be any good. 802.11n will be pretty nice as well....
If these rumors will come real in a few weeks more June 9th 2009 screen is a way to Apple intentions to have 3 apps running in the background no more and with OLED screen iphone could save energy. I also think that would not be able to increase more apps running in background. For me the most important thing of these RUMORS is the device price 16GB $199.- This is only way that they could compete with Palm Pre, because iphone hardware and software even version 3.0 will not allow full multitasking, or a wave launcher or cards or synergy. The others posibble adds for iphone 3.0 are IMO just patches that don´t reach Palm Pre at all. But the rumored price 16GB $199.- is an issue for Palm Inc. IMO The thing is : If ARM processor manufacturer 600MHZ receives an order for 1 million units for example probably Apple could have a better price than an ARM customer who orders just 400.000 units. The same could happen for the others part and pieces of the device. The question is about $100.-price difference. Does a $100 price down difference possible? Or it is just too much to be truth?
