I think Palm might do something to add these ways of reset Pre to the user guide and if there is no time for printed full version with this, maybe it would be a good thing to rapidly make an additional help page to delivery sprint to customers at launch. Otherwise IMO customers could have some troubles with this if they don`t know these new ways to do so from the begining. I know that there are going to be SITUATIONS ROOMS (WAR ROOMS) at launch . I hope these sprint guys will have the back up info to answer this question on June 6th and so on.
Its advised to NOT take out the battery? I was planning on buying a spare to take with me just in case. Sigh.
you are awesome man! ppl def need to realize this. iPhone will not be 'killed' just another player in the game. the more i built interest in pre, the more i wanted an iPhone since its the established phone and does what I want....but to be honest, my family is on sprint and i like it a lot....7pm and my peeps can reach me...booya! pre is the new iPhone on MY network so what a match.
You know rangness, I have to agree. I think in another world, if when I was looking for my first mobile phone (I almost typed cell phone, how passe would that be?), if I had a friend who worked for AT&T/Cingular at the time, I'd probably have long since purchased an iPhone. Don't get me wrong, I want my Pre, and I'm excited about it in all it's new hot freshness. You're right though, it's another player, not a gamechanger. If in my hypothesized world, I had the iPhone, when the I heard about the Pre, I doubt I'd consider changing (unless someone convinced me of teh suck of the AT&T network, and to be honest, I hadn't heard much about that until I joined this here forum.) I guess what I'm saying is the main allure for me of the Pre is that it is an awesome phone on MY network.
Its advised to NOT take out the battery? Not to get so worried of. The case is for a reset. We don“t need to do so. I mean as we usually do with the Treos. There are ways for a reset and it is not neccesary to take out the battery at all. That was our friend did say and recommended. Nothing to do with battery life.
