    Pre release tentatively b/w Q2 and Q3?

    Hello all future PRE-ers~

I just got off the phone with a Sprint customer service rep regarding some charges on my cellular bill and I asked about the Pre release. He advised that "Now, we've been told that it's some time between Q2 and the 2nd half of the year. I would guess some time between the 2nd and 3rd quarter." This is verbatim from the CSR's mouth but I don't know how much he would actually know. I question the credibility of a rep taking billing calls for Sprint.

Anyway, I thought I would share any tidbit. Enjoy~

I would encourage you to call back and see if you get the same answer from another rep... Every time I see a post like this I will call and I can not
corroborate the information. I'd call but I seriously think they are starting to make notes on my account because the Manager I talked to said, "yes, I see you have been calling quite a bit regarding the Pre..."

I can't see it being true, honestly. If there was a chance of it being pushed back that far, Sprint would not be paying for full page ads in newspapers and magazines this soon. That stuff costs serious money and if the phone comes out in July or beyond, money spent on print advertising now is pretty much being thrown out the window.

'Tis true. Smaller ads would be a better idea right now. But only time will tell I suppose.

Honestly, the reps don't have any more idea than we do. The only time they'll find out is when the date is actually announced (and some might not even find out until after that). In all likelihood, they're just giving an answer to get you off the phone.
