Seidio Exended Battery Now Shipping! (1350mAh) I just ordered my battery: http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/basi13pmx3.htm I also ordered this Retractable Micro-USB Sync & Charge Cable: http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/cbudpmcr.htm Then I used this coupon code to get $5 off: ITB0630 The coupon code is for orders of $50 or more which is why I got the cable with it. Besides, it's not like I can't use t and it specifies sync and charge so I know it'll do both. Mine has not shipped, but other people who had orders placed had theirs shipped today, and it says "now shipping" on the product page when you order it, whereas yesterday it said "Pre-order".
Oops, sorry. I'll know better next time. Boy, it better or it's going straight back. I'm not sure if the induction works directly with the battery, or if there is some middle-man device in the Palm that handles that. I've also heard that the bigger brother will require a bigger battery door and will not work with the Touchstone, but I figured that it was the bigger battery door that was incompatible.
I know, I'm with you. I did order the battery and will test it out as soon as it comes. I'm hoping there's no exploding battery when I charge it with the Touchstone LOL
So I got my Touchstone Kit yesterday, and it would appear that the back cover that comes with it has some sort of chip molded into some sort of pad. There are two connectors that connect to the two little gold posts by the battery. I would have to assume then that the back cover is what handles the induction part and just sends the charge to the battery; any battery. More to come when I get my battery. For now, the inside of the back cover (I am horrible at taking pictures):
Any word on how the battery is working out? I'm not 100% sold on spending $50 until i know what its going to do.
I will buy one also, as long a it works with the Touchstone. Looking forward to hear your impressions.
I am wondering about the quality of the battery itself? Will it last as many cycles and if it is 1350mah will it continue to cycle that high or deminish quickly. Anyone ever have this brands battery?
I have used Seideo batteries in the past with multiple different phones, and never had issues. They seem to make great products.
So I'm interested in the higher capacity battery, but only 200 mA more isn't going to make that much of a difference, will it? I do like the fact that this won't affect the thickness of the Pre though.
I can't yet say, but I was mainly interested in a spare battery, and since they cost the same and fit in the same space, I figured that this would be the way to go.
