Skullcandy Ink'd Headphones(?). Anybody have/try them with the Pré? I used HT820s while working out but use the Palm headphones while running around, not literally. These are in my cheap price range and all the reviews I've seen are pretty good.
I own them and will use them in my Pre when I get it August 1st. I currently use them with my Zune and I absolutely love them. Best headphones I've ever purchased.
Thanks. It's better when you hear it from someone you "know" I was kinda torn between those the the Chops but I haven't read any real reviews on those. I haven't seen a bad Skullcandy review I guess they'd be "quality" too.
Yeah I use them, they sound fine, and I like a lot of bass. They seal off outside sound pretty well.. haven't experience 100 dollar etymotics or any other big wig out there. My only complaint is that the wire is very light; made of soft rubber that you can kinda squish. I'm sure they are durable, because I've wound them up to throw into my pocket many times, but when walking with them on, i can hear them banging on my shirt collar or chest or whatever they flap against. Just an FYI.. with that said, I'm looking for some in-ear buds that sound just like them, but with a thicker plastic cord so I don't hear the reverberating sound thru the wires into my ear.
Well Wal-Mart didn't have them but I made it over to Best Buy in Time to pick some up. I had a long review typed up but canned it. It can be summed up very quickly. The Ink'd headphones don't like "complicated" music. Lot's of instruments, vocals especially male, saxophones make them sound "unclear". Female vocals, as long as there's not a lot of the other mentioned items, are clear. The headphones don't seem to like transitions. I tested the Pré against my computer with a Realtek HD chip doing some processing. While the Realtek HD is better the similarities are there. I have to admit the stock headphones are quite good and maybe, besides the bass response which is mind blowing with the Ink'ds, better.
Skullcandy Lowrider not good I got a pair of the Skullcandy Lowrider's at my college's bookstore for half price. They retail for forty and got them for twenty bucks. They look really cool but once I started using them I have come to conclude that they are not for adults. I am not going to make this a long review but I believe the Lowrider series are great for children the reason being they have a tight fit for smaller heads and just overall seem as if they are constructed for the 5 to 13 age group. I do use them with my Pre a little bit but do not see a better quality of sound with the Lowrider's compared to the standard earbuds that come with the Pre.
Here's a tip. While on the elliptical tonight the impact noise on the wire started bugging me more than usual. I was watching a movie the other day and noticed how the "secret service" puts the wire over and around the ear. It worked.
That is correct :dft003:cool. My favorite in ear headphones are the Sony MDR-EX700LP by far. However, bang for the buck and surprisingly the hip surf watch company Nixon has some bad ass headphones as well. They use a cloth like cover over the wiring to it eliminates pysucal noise. And if I find out that you little bastards are buying "Beats By Dre" I will hunt you down and take your money as well for being dumb enough to part with yours for buying that overpriced and marketed crap. /rant
