After the battery fix my phone started randomly showing what looked like a volume control display with the blue bars on the bottom but different than the volume control because on the left side of the blue bars were musical symbols. So they've ordered a new phone :dft009:happy. I'll put the scratch protector on! BTW: I got this phone near when they first came out.

I still have the one I got on release day, but a few weeks ago I started having issues with my power button as well (and with the phone randomly turning itself off and not coming back on). They replaced the battery and claimed to have 'fixed' the power button. I can use it, but it takes literally holding the phone with one hand and pressing down as hard as i can on the power button with the other. It's quite a pain.

I am on my 5th...sinces Sept. All warranty exchanges, nothing I have done to them. 1st was within 30 days, then roughly every 30 days since. Random issues, volume button not working, bad Oreo so phone got stuck, screen dying, etc. This last one I told them I wanted a diff phone (which by the way they can do after 3rd exchange at corp repair store manager discretion). But they do not offer a exchange for Pre...(they have a list of exchangable phones) So they gave me a new not rufurbished on. I can't wait to get a diff phone. I like the phone just not the quality of the build. Wish phone was better built. As I said I do like the OS, just not the build quality.

Still on my 1st. Works fine. Only the USB door broke and had to be replaced.

I still have my same Pre...since September 2009. I love all the features, but my only complaint is the homescreen. I would love to have more options for the homescreen. I got used to having upcoming calendar appointments on the homescreen when I had the Treo 700wx (Windows Mobile).

Othr than that, it's been a good device!

I still have my original from Sept '09 launch and it works great, or it worked great until it got ran over by a car when I fell 2 days ago. I was surprised that it held up! the volume button broke off and it's all scrapped up. I think the touchstone charger cover saved it. I'm more upset about the $100.00 deductible I had to pay to get a new phone.

    Buggy but still going...

still have my original - 3 months now, maybe 4. Only issues: battery drains FAST, screen occasionally freezes requiring either reset, battery removal/reinsertion, or delete/reload app.

NOTE: if you take out your battery to fix one of these problems and the Palm logo does not get a pulsing halo around it after 5 minutes, take the battery out again. Sometimes it takes two (once, even three) tries, but once that logo starts to "glow", you're on the right track - just wait though, the glow takes time to come up and even then it takes some time for the screen to come back, depending on number of apps, contacts, etc.). But if it glows, you're golden - it will come back to normal as long as you leave it be (longest wait after glow kicked in was about 15 minutes - shortest about 5...).

Love the Pre in spite of annoying issues and missing functions.
