LOL... yelp sliding that lil phone in your pocket is asking for trouble. I have my first one and it works fine for me.
Still have the original one, but my friend exchanged his about two days ago because of one i said one spec of dust inside the screen. Also battery life is great. I went to Baltimore yesterday and snapped 60 shots with the camera uploaded 15 too facebook and email and text all day to my buds. I was at 35 percent by 12am and took it off the charger at 5am. But i used the phone alot yesterday. Gooo fireworks..
its been a month and no problems at all ! i dont think theres a phone made that runs as smoothe as the pre! im exstatic with mine! i really cant wait to see what palm does to even try to top the pre! that`ll be a site to see!:laugh3:
Still have the original release day Pre with 0 issues. Dropped it once on concrete with no scratches or damage. Its by far the best phone ever!!
Yep still got mine! and I've had it since about a week after it came out. No problems yet, just the more common slightly wiggly screen but not enough for me to be worried about it breaking.
I'm on my "original". Got it on Saturday. Love it. I say original in quotes because the one I bought broke before I even left the Sprint store, and they replaced it. It was shutting off every time you slid the phone shut. This one just has the yellow spot in the top left of the screen and the wiggle. Dunno if I'm gonna replace it yet or not. The discoloration bothers me...but not that much.
Had mine since Best Buy opened on the 6th. No hardware problems, just 'treo apps' withdrawal. Keep mine in a hard case I bought that day.
The one with the clear front they sell at the Sprint store. As flimsy as it looks, that thing has taken a beating and is still going strong. Was well worth the money.
Still have my original from 7am launch day. Someone mentioned everyone has the "wiggle?" no wiggle OR discolorations here @ all. Not one problem! I LOVE IT!
I still have my pre that I got 7am launch day! Only problem I had was the pre shutting off when I slid the keyboard closed. I quickly figured out that it was due to the battery disconnecting. So I put a piece of tape on the top of my battery and has been working great ever since. I would have tried to get a replacement then but I already had installed the zagg invisible shield...
Still have my launch day pre also...a little wiggle and 1 dead pixel. But, other then that its great. I am not going to try and trade it for one with possibly more problems.
I still have mine, although my partner just told me that his has a crack near the screen by the charging jack. We were in line on launch day.
one month and mine is just fine me and my wife both got the pre , its been exactly a month. im glad i have the touchstone back covers as they are much more scratch free. i prefer it than the glossy black. our phones are working fine. mine just started wiggling a little when closed, just a mm or 2 mm.
Well I still have mine, but I'm trying to replace it now and here are my reasons: 1) it's shutting off when I close it, mostly fixed it w/ tape on the battery but it still does it sometimes. 2) it shuts off almost daily for not reason, sometimes I'll go to use it and it's off and the last time I used it I didn't even slide it open, all screen usage. 3) it has developed a crack next to the charging door that has now worked it's way to the screen. I can not explain this crack except for it being in my pocket in it's sleeve. I have never dropped this phone and even the sprint tech agreed this phone had never been dropped (not a scratch or blemish on it) 4) the touch screen is not always responding, intermittent So sadly 2-3 weeks ago I called sprint and they said I had to take it into the store, whatever so I did. They said no problem, we will order you a new one and have it shipped to your door since they were out of stock. I was very pleased........well two weeks went by and no phone so I decided to call the sprint store and to my surprise it's waiting for me at the store. So I go in today to swap it out and it is a refurbished phone. I said no way, I brought this problem to you with a 6 week old phone and I want a new phone replacement! She said sorry, but it is over 30days and refurb is all we can order! I said bullxxxxx and that is not acceptable. She said the only thing I could do is call Customer Support and have them replace it with a new one. So as I'm leaving the store I'm dialing *2 and the person was great very understanding of the run around I'm getting and calls a supervisor to help. Well he was/is and a$$ and said you didn't purchase the phone over the internet or the phone from us directly their is nothing we can do and he directly said I would take the refurb phone option as that is all I will get. As you can image this really pissed me off and I have been with Sprint long before they merged w/ Nextel and Nextel before that, about 10yrs total and this is the first time I've been pissed at Customer Service! I'm not sure what I'm going to do next, but I will not stop until they replace this one w/ a new one! Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks for letting me vent!
If you see the many posts about people that have returned their phones and have gotten refurbed phones don't have problems. If it was witihin the 30 days then you have a leg to stand on, if after then no and just because it's reurbished doesn't mean it's not good. I would inspect it thoroughly to make sure no dead pixels and the slider is working good. At this early rate the refurb's should be good because a lot of people early on took the phone back even if it didn't have a hardware issue just a software issue...:dft005:frazzled
I got mine's like a week ago no problems wat so ever. Except for the post that I just made in reference to time zone shifts in calendar items. Other then that all is well. I like a few recommendations on the notifications piece and longer beep/chime on the txt msgs or emails. I was used to those on the Instinct. Sure would be great to have them back. hmmm the gud old days.
