Solio Charger/"Mini" USB confusion

edit: I have been corrected the Pre has a *micro* connector, not mini.

The end result is I want to get a Soilio chargers for my Pre. I've found a lot about them, but only the Sprint store sells ine as "Pre Compatible".

Sprint store sells a Solio to work with the Pre, but it's more expensive and not as fancy as I've found elsewhere.

The HTC store has a fan style one, but does not list as Pre compatible. My partner has an HTC so that's a bonus for us, but still, it's *me* who wants the charger.

I've found the Solio site sells adapter plugs, but nothing labeled "Pre". It is a micro plug, not a mini. Even looks like there's an A type and B type of those.

Am I just making this more complicated than it needs to be? The Pre power cable is clearly a USB to w/e micro usb, do I just plug that into anything with a USB outlet and it'll work?

Honestly, I dont know why all the phone makers are running for micro usb. Mini worked just find. Micro is more of a pain in the ass to plug in. Thats why Palm took my money for a touchstone.
