Tapping into your inner photographer Tapping into your inner photographer Sometimes all it takes is a quick tap or two to get more out of the camera in your Palm Pre or Palm Pixi. Here are a few quick taps...er, tips...from Palm customer support: Hold down the option key on your webOS phone (the white or orange key on the lower left of the keyboard) while tapping an image in the web browser to get a list of options like share and copy to photos. Use the space bar on your phone’s keyboard to take a photo. Press it repeatedly to take multiple pictures. Personalize your phone by setting a photo as your phone’s wallpaper. Find a photo in your Photo roll and tap it once. Tap the icon in lower left part of your screen and select Set wallpaper. saw the Facebook posting about this and thought that maybe, just maybe we'd have some sort of zoom option added without our knowledge...but lo & behold it wasn't to be.
Yes, it is a sort of inderectly zoom way compare with what we are used to zoom with a digital camera that has a separate button for it. IMO is a good alternative in a smartphone.
good read, glad we can copy items like that now! As far as zoom goes..personally its not to much needed, but it would definitely be a great addition to the Pre. I haven't heard of a way to zoom in yet, while the in the camera app. The only workaround that I know is zooming in while your in the phto app via pinch, or tap.
high magnification camera images I find when tapping on images I've taken, in order to get the standard (~5X) magnification, it will sometimes jump and give me 25x! Anyone know about this bug and maybe how to make it happen consistently? It's pretty cool. I also found you can hold a jeweler's loupe up to the lens and get even higher mag shots. I try to attach here an image of letters from the back of a Hawaii state quarter. I've even photographed the moons of Jupiter right onto my Pre by holding it up to a telescope!
