Disclaimer: I have zero experience with any of them. But based on videos I've seen and reviews I've read, it seems like Invisibleshield is the best on since it's designed to be a one time application and permanently protect your phone, rather than forcing you to purchase additional skins when the one you have wears out or gets damaged.
I just finished putting on a Clear-Coat full body shield and I'm impressed. I have never installed one before and it went on pretty easily and looks and feels great. Check it out at http://www.clear-coat.com
Out of all the plastic clear protectors do you think this is the best one? Also does this effect the touch screen's responsiveness?
For me, it depends on how well some of the companies involved cut the shield. Overall, I prefer Zagg products. I have them on laptops, had one on the iPhone 3G and will probably put one on the Pre. I'm not crazy about how they cut the iPod nano skin. I like the quality of their skins, but that one is cut so that it's possible to have a slight gap in the back where the skin meets.
Tried these before, but I hate the way they make the device look. I tried PhantomSkinz, but then I removed....didn't like it.
I hated how Zagg cut the shield for the iPhone 3g so I ditched it and went with Ghost Armor. I prefer the smooth look of Ghost Armor as well, it doesn't detract from the look of the phone at all. As an added plus, there's at least 3 ghost armor mall kiosks at two local malls (yeah, one mall has two) so I can get it installed professionally. I went with their skin for the Pre, but don't really like how the corners are cut. They leave too much unprotected in my opinion. I'm also not a fan of the tight cut around the earpiece.. it's much too tight, so it doesn't lay flat and collects dust there. here's some macro photos: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3408/3628788903_48935966ae_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3597/3628788703_07827f5a1f_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3615/3629601844_2fc8a10e9b_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3307/3629600954_6a05e68ef2_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3596/3629601408_c2af37aa97_b.jpg I hope they redesign the film soon. I'm totally OK with paying $15 for reinstallation if there's a better design.
Bestskinsever makes the best skins for the Palm Pre.....I compared the the bestkinever to the invisibleshield and the bestskinever does a more complete job of covering the device with their skins. In addition after having installed both skins on my Blackberry the bestkinsever is easier to install and is cut better than the invisibleshield. In addition, it's one third of the cost.
So you say it's the best.. any pics of the better cuts? The film clarity? The cool thing about the ghost armor kiosks is that they'll install a competitor's film no problem (they just won't warranty the film itself of course).
I had Invisible Shield skins before and they work well however I hated that they felt like rubber or tacky to the touch. I had a Bodygaurdz put on my Pre and I absolutley love it. It feels smooth as glass and I cant tell it is there at all.
Does the bodyguardz have the "self healing" as the invisibleshield and phantomskinz do? Or is that just a hoax to get you to buy it from them?
I have both the Invisible Shield and Clear-Coat I have not installed the Clear-Coat yet (going on wife's Pre when she gets it), and have installed the Invisible Shield. The Clear-Coat looks like it does not cover the edges, but appears to be very durable and has the same "Gel" like feel as the Invisible Shield. I know some people do not like this "Gel Rubberish" feel, but I like it a lot, it's grippy, so the risks of the Pre slipping out of someone's fingers decreases. The skin also feels high quality, good enough to know your Pre "is" protected. I've installed countless Screen Protectors and this is after 48 hours, it is still getting better, imperfections are disappearing, I tried to include/show the texture as well as minor imperfections:
ok, so looks like it's the opposite of the iPhone --invisible shield has better corner coverage. I still can't get over the crazy texture and the stickiness though. Makes it annoying to pull out of my pocket.
I totally understand, I so hate the pocket thing, which is why I'm shopping for a case and it looks like I might just go Vaja. Quite expensive but looks good.
I must say that now a day’s skin cover has became essential for every mobiles protection. Mobile got easily scratched, display problem after any easy encounter with rough surface. I bought a BLACKBERRY TORCH SKIN COVER 2 month ago and my mobile looks as new as earlier. Blackberry torch skin cover
