Touchstone mount in my SC400 After seeing people mounting their touchstones in their cars I decided I really wanted to do it so I would have a place to put the phone and charge while I'm driving instead of in the cupholder...because lets face it the Pre is too darn pretty to slosh around in a cupholder! Anyone that owns a Lexus will agree that there isn't a flat surface to be found to stick the darn thing.....just lots of curved surfaces, so I had to make a mount. I used HVAC thin duct metal because it is thin enough to make the necessary bends and cuts to fit under the trim bezel. The mount I made is preliminary to get the measurements correct that go under the trim surround, next week I will transfer the pattern and angles over to thicker black metal. I hard-wired a new powerpoint under the dash to run the charger to so that I won't have to clutter up the console and use the powerpoint there...so all wiring is hidden.
