Weather web site I need a good one for the Pre. One that shows motion and can zoom in. Going to key west and going to need one for out on the boat. Accuweather just doesn't cut it, and weather.com won't zoom. If anyone has a good one i'd appreciate the help.
I'm not getting any movement or zoom ability there. R you? If so, maybe something is wrong with my phone.
I posted something about this before. Apparently the Pre webbrowser doesn't support image maps so you can't click on a national radar map to zoom in. I'd really hope they fix that in the future. Is there a way to animate the AccuWeather app? It's a pretty good app other than the fact it won't show the map in motion.
Try the weather.com site for the Iphone. It gives you a map in motion that you can zoom in on while in motion. You can find in at weather.com/iphone.
I've tried it. The loop doesn't work. It only loads the first frame, and that's it. You're better off looking at the most recent still image.
Weather.com just re-formatted their pre / iphone mobile page, and I like it a lot. Indiv pages are bookmarkable, animation works on the pre, etc. mw.weather.com
Try justweather.com. They have a very good animated map for miami fl and you can zoom in on the keys.
I'm a pilot and I use http://www.intellicast.com for my weather info. It works just as well on my Pre as my desktop. Well almost as well because on my desktop browsers (Firefox,Chrome) you can click anywhere on the national radar summary chart and it will zoom in, but WebOS doesn't allow it so I have to use a pull down menu to zoom in on the Pre'. I like Intellicast because they show resolutions down to county levels.
