Apple today released an update to iTunes and effectively breaks syncing with the Palm Pre. According to Apple, iTunes version 8.2.1 provides a number of important bug fixes and addresses an issue with verification of Apple devices. There are other options out there, such as DoubleTwist and we're not sure how Palm will respond. Clearly, Apple removed support for the Pre and this has been a feature highly touted by Palm. Can we expect a cat and mouse game between the two with the end user caught in the middle? Only time will tell. For now, stick with iTunes 8.2.0 to avoid breaking the sync.
