Sprint has an exclusive to sell the Palm Pre, but it's certainly plausible that Verizon will carry the Palm Pre when that exclusivity deal ends.

Neither Palm or Sprint will discuss the length of the agreement. Sprint will have a US exclusive on the Palm Pre throughout 2009. Both Sprint and Verizon use CDMA technology, so it wouldn't be difficult to bring the Pre to Verizon if the two companies were to reach an agreement.

Palm will be developing other webOS devices, so it's possible Verizon could get a different webOS device in 2009, although we think that's unlikely.
